Academic Calendar

Plan your studies around the calendar and notices issued for your current semester.

Plan your semester

An academic calendar helps students organise study time, assessments and other college commitments. When checking a calendar, make sure it applies to your programme, semester and academic year. A previous year’s dates should not be used to plan a current semester.

Keep a copy of the latest college-issued calendar and check subsequent notices for changes. Department-specific instructions may also be relevant to particular classes, assignments or activities.

Dates to check

  • The start and end of teaching periods for your semester.
  • Assignment, assessment and examination windows.
  • College holidays and changes announced through official notices.
  • Any programme-specific deadlines communicated by your department.

Make the calendar useful

Alongside official dates, maintain your own study plan. Set aside time for reading, revision and project work, and record deadlines as soon as they are communicated. Leave room to respond to timetable changes.

If two notices appear to conflict, confirm the current instruction with your department or the college office before making arrangements. For examination timings, also check the Internal Examination Schedule destination.

Ask about current semester dates

The college office can direct you to the applicable calendar and the relevant department.
